éS Game of SKATE — Hood River, OR, June 18, 2009

The first of two éS Games of SKATE in Oregon this year was held at IPS Skate Shop in Hood River Oregon on June 18, 2009. A modest but enthusiastic crowd made the trek inland to throw down and see who'd come up.

There were a handful of standout skaters, but overall the field of skaters was pretty impressive...

Rippers Bobby Groves and James McCoy were favorites-- Bobby with a huge bag of tricks and James with some serious consistency on tricks like fakie bigger heelflips.

Indeed, in the end, those two, along with James Alby, all survived through five rounds and into the Finals. After all was said and done, it was James McCoy who took home the gold medal on a sweet nollie hardflip.
