Bochum, Hamburg & Leipzig, Germany

es GOS germany

The German Game of SKATE qualifications started in Bochum in the "Ruhrgebiet” (we gently call it the "Pott") at a Spot called QVC.

This Spot is known as one of the Spots for ledge and stair lines in Germany. 64 skaters fought out to qualify for the German final in Stuttgart.

Kevin Vietzke and Christoph Radtke skipped all the basics and went right to tricks like nollie bigspin inward heels and switch double heels. Finally Christoph won this game with a 540 shuv.

Hamburg is known for it's wide range of good skateboarders. So this Game of SKATE, taking place at a skating rink and visited by 82 skaters, was at the highest stage. Although the ground condition wasn't the best the level of skating was wicked. Have you ever seen a backside 360 doubleflip? Finally two completely unknown dudes staged the final. Nearly every trick had a double in his name... totally crazy!

Leipzig, one of the main cities of the ancient GDR, was the third site of German Game of Skate qualification. The Spot is one of best spots in the east of Germany with many ledges in different heights, flat gaps and waves.

Like at every stop the local skateshop sponsored some barbecue and beer, so that this game was more like a huge and chilled session. Four skaters contested the final and because all of them ruled the basics it took ages, but incredible skating!
