Funabashi, Chiba, Japan

The éS Game of SKATE Asia Finals went down on Saturday, July 28, 2007 in a shopping mall called Vivit Square in Funabashi, Chiba prefecture. The indoor venue was just perfect. While the temperature outside was cookin', the space was equipped with air conditioning, plus supermarkets and fast food stores next to the course.

Close to 400 people watched the the game, including 10 magazines. At least half of them plan to run an article on the event. A cable TV station was there, as well, and they plan to do a 30-minute program. The most talented skateboarders from all over Japan came to this event to participate with éS Japan rider Junnosuke Yonesaka, Tetsuya Yasuta, Yutaro Kato, etc.

Two-time champion Tetsuya Yasuta made it to the Semi-Finals but lost against Yuta Nakasaka, who emerged as the winner. He’s 23 years old and is sponsored by Nesta clothing and just got sponsored by éS Japan after winning. Brazil's Andre Ogawa got second. Enjoy the pictures.
