Sao Paulo, Brazil

Premium Distribution, in partnership with the Sao Paulo, Brazil City Hall and 100% Skate Mag, put together the first-ever éS Game of SKATE in Latin America on July 21, 2007. As over 1,000 people watched, Brazilian amateurs and pros battled it out to qualify as a Brazilian champion and compete with Costa Rica and Chile winners to decide who will be the overall Latin America champion to go to the éS Game of SKATE Finals in San Diego, California this coming September.

Christian Rivera (Costa Rica), Darwin Sagredo (Chile) and Rodrigo Maizena (Brazil) were qualified to represent their respective countries. Even though he's a super good skater, Christian got nervous and was the first one to be disqualified. Rodrigo and Darwin went at it for almost 20 minutes, but Rodrigo Maizena conquered all the difficult moves to become the great champion, who will represent Latin America in San Diego. Congrats, Rodrigo, and good luck!--Cesar Frederico Rodrigues
