Minneapolis, Minnesota

The éS Game of SKATE, presented by Boost Mobile, hit Minneapolis, Minnesota on Sunday, July 15, 2007 in conjunction with Cal Surf. The Game was held on 31st Street, in a residential neighborhood, complete with closed-off streets, permits—the whole nine yards. It was a fun, unique place to play SKATE, and the skaters came out in force.

CJ Tambornino took the top spot and earned the trip to San Diego for the éS Game of SKATE Amateur World Championships with a slew of tricks on lock, including switch tre flips, switch heels, frontside and backside nollie heels, and the winning trick, a frontside nollie flip. Definitely a candidate for the top spot in the Championships, CJ beat a field of rippers in the finals, including David Jaimez, who put up a good fight but couldn’t get letters on CJ, who went first and never missed a trick. Stay tuned for San Diego!
