éS Game of SKATE — Beverly, MA, July 26, 2009
The first stop on the east coast for the éS Game of SKATE was with Eastern Boarder taking place right outside Boston at a skatepark in Beverly, Massachusetts. The lanes were laid down on the smooth basketball court next to the skatepark where 101 skaters came out to play SKATE despite the unpromising weather. Fortunately there was only about 10 minutes of drizzle before the sunshine took over for the day.

The east coast is full of skaters that kill it, so the top 24 seemed like it was anyone's game. Some of the skaters in particular that had a good chance at the finals included Gavin McMahon, Greg Cotto and Alex Filho; but it was Chandy Khon, Little Eric Martinac, Matt Jay and Chris Valone that outskated everyone earning their spots in the finals.

Chris Valone ended up in fourth and Matt Jay took third leaving the two younger skaters, Little Eric and Chandy. In the end, it was Little Eric who eliminated Chandy with a switch inward heelflip. Congratulations to Eric Martinac and thanks to everyone at Eastern Boarder for a great time!
