Brossard, Quebec, Canada
The second of three Semi-Final Canadian éS Games of SKATE went down during the Brossard Skate Fest in Brossard, Quebec, Canada last weekend. It went really well. Sixty-nine people registered, so we ran it with 64 and kept five on reserve. There were a lot of good games, and we had 13 flawless victories, which were rewarded with special éS packages. The winner from last year, Will Cristofaro, made his way to the Finals really easy by eliminating Thomas Parent in the first round and beating Étienne Dumais in the Semi-Finals.

We thought Antoine was going to make it to the Finals, but a newcomer, Jean-Sébastien Laberge, killed it. He’s 14 years old, sponsored by etnies through Ultimate, and, man, he swiped everyone in his way! So, the Finals were a close call between Jean and Little Will, and, yes, Jean beat Will! It was rad to see a new guy from a small town go all the way to the top. Plus, the town of Brossard donated a $475 cash prize for Jean's trip to the Canadian Finals in Vancouver. Sweet.
